About The Pantomime
Steve McFadden gets his hook into Wycombe Swan panto
One of the country’s most recognisable soap-stars, Steve McFadden, will lead the cast of this year’s spectacular swash-buckling Wycombe Swan pantomime, Peter Pan, in the role of the villainous Captain Hook!
Steve graduated from the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts and made his acting debut in the television film The Firm. His early television credits included The Bill, Bergerac and Minder. He joined EastEnders in the role of Phil Mitchell at the beginning of 1990 and had a number of short breaks before returning to the show in late 2005. During his time on the soap he has had numerous ratings-pulling storylines, including the time when his character was shot, which was viewed by 22 million people!
“We are delighted that Steve, once again, is appearing in a Qdos pantomime and thrilled that he will lead the cast of Peter Pan at Wycombe Swan, says Jon Conway, Executive Producer of the show. “We have worked with Steve on numerous occasions in the past and he plays one of the best Captain Hooks ever to grace the stage…watch out, Wycombe, the bad boy of television is heading your way!” Jon added.
Peter Pan is staged by Qdos Entertainment, the world’s largest pantomime producer, which will stage 22 productions throughout the UK this Christmas. Featuring magnificent scenery, beautiful costumes, an abundance of comedy and stunning flying sequences, Peter Pan will have Wycombe Swan’s hallmark of outstanding value-for-money and entertainment for all ages.
Peter Pan opens at Wycombe Swan on Saturday 11 December 2010. Tickets can be booked on 01494 512000 or online at www.wycombeswan.co.uk.
