About The Pantomime
Comedy legend - Bobby Davro - heads to Dartford to battle one very mean giant
Bobby Davro, one of the UK’s funniest and best-known celebrity comedians, will lead the cast of this year’s spectacular Orchard Theatre pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk.
Bobby, who will play the title role of Silly Billy, was recently seen gingerly taking to the ice in ITV1’s Dancing on Ice and is well-known for his role as Vinnie Monk in EastEnders. As well as his time on the BBC soap, Bobby Davro has appeared in numerous television programmes including All Star Talent Show, Winner Takes All, Public Enemy Number One and The Heat Is On. He also featured, along with a number of other celebrities, in Peter Kay's Comic Relief music video I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles).
“Comedy will be very central to this year’s production and we are delighted that Bobby will lead a superb cast in Jack and the Beanstalk at the Orchard Theatre”, says Jonathan Kiley, Executive Producer of the show. “Bobby is a brilliant performer and a huge talent and is one of the country’s most sought-after pantomime performers,” Jonathan added.
Jack and the Beanstalk is staged by Qdos Entertainment, the world’s largest pantomime producer, which will stage 22 productions throughout the UK this Christmas. The unmissable production features magnificent scenery, beautiful costumes, an abundance of comedy, a larger-than-life beanstalk and one very mean giant at the top of it! With ticket prices starting at only £14.50 you won’t have to sell the family cow to enjoy magnificent pantomime at the Orchard Theatre.
Jack and the Beanstalk runs at the Orchard Theatre from Saturday 4 December 2010 to Sunday 9 January 2011. Tickets can be booked on 01322 220000 or online.
